Dreams and visions - Beverley Hall
Vision 1 (30 December 2007)During the preach at church I saw an African plain; everything was silent with a sense of hushed expectation. All of creation was holding its breath, as the sky for as far as the eye could see was changing colour The blue/black night sky was lightening with hues of pink, yellow and orange of the dawn. Looking at the horizon I could see the ball of the sun starting to peek over the horizon and in my spirit I heard “a new day is dawning”.
Rather abruptly, the picture changed to an army airfield where there was a lot of activity my eyes were drawn to the runway and the tail end of a fighter jet came into full view and it suddenly fired up its engines with such force that I almost jumped (in the physical) at the ferocity of sound and heat that came out of the tail end. I had the feeling that this plane was revving up to catapult off the runway (similar to the planes that launch off the navy carriers).
Vision 2 (14 January 2008)
This picture suddenly came into my head as walking along the South Bank. I saw the bridge of an ENORMOUS ocean going ship; the ship was floating on the open waters. The Captain of the ship called to his second in command to give the instruction to fire up the engines. As in the 'old days' - this man then shouted the instruction down the funnel to the next level of command. I could hear the echo of this instruction going along the chain of command throughout the ship. When the message reached the boiler room a cheer went up from those waiting for this order. The stokers started to pile the coal into the fires and the ships' engines started to turn.
My eye was drawn outside of the ship into the water as the MASSIVE rudder started to churn the waters as the ship started to move. The sense in my spirit was that the ship was being turned almost in the opposite direction to which it had been floating previously.
