Jesus the Whale Boat Captain

I was at Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Hawaii after leading couples in a marriage retreat. I was sitting there on the beach seeking the Lord in prayer. As I was sincerely seeking the Lord, I suddenly saw a huge Blue Whale break the water about 500 yards off shore. This whale was moving at a very rapid and determined pace swimming along the surface, and massive water spouts were rising from its blowhole.

I then saw what the Blue Whale was moving away from so determinedly – it was a steam powered whale boat. The whale boat was giving off huge billows of steam clouds, and the boat was moving fast through the waters of Turtle Bay and closing the distance with the Blue Whale. I then realized that this was not the season for whales in Hawaii, and that the steam boat was evident I was in a vision.

Immediately, with the realization that this was a vision, I found that I was standing on the deck of the whale boat as it was speeding through the water in pursuit of the Blue Whale. I saw that I was standing behind the Lord Jesus who was wearing a deep blue uniform of a boat captain. He was sitting in a Captain’s Chair bolted securely to the deck with swivels for him to pivet the chair as necessary. He was aiming a large harpoon gun in the direction of the rapidly moving Blue Whale. As He peered through the large crosshairs, I marveled at His focus and the intensity of His pursuit.

When we approached a distance of what appeared to be around 200 yards, the Lord fired the harpoon gun. I was amazed as the harpoon sped towards the massive Blue Whale and hit it just behind the left eye in its head. The Blue Whale was fatally hit, and attempted to go deep, but floated back to the surface. It laid motionless on the surface of the water. It appeared to be lifeless – dead.

The whale boat continued to approach the lifeless Blue Whale. The Lord was still very intent on what He was doing. His eyes never left the Blue Whale. I was absolutely puzzled. I thought to myself, “Why would the Lord be whale hunting?”

As the boat pulled up alongside of the dead whale, the Lord went out on a narrow walkway that came off the bow and enabled him to come up alongside the Blue Whale. He had a jar in His hand, and I could tell it had salve in it. When He got to the harpoon wound behind the left eye, he pulled out the instrument of the wound, and set it aside. He then opened the jar of salve, put two fingers in the jar and took a large amount of salve on them. He began to gently spread the salve on the wound, and I heard Him whispering to the whale while He administered the salve. I then watched Him do something I had seen my mother do as a child when I had an “owie.” He began to blow on the wound that He had just treated with salve.

I stood in amazement as the wound closed up. Then the blow hole started to make some noises. I could hear the Blue Whale breathing. I also noticed that the tail began to wiggle back and forth. The Lord had given new life to the Blue Whale! He had raised it from the dead! Water began to spray from out of the blowhole! The Lord then spoke very clear words over the Blue Whale as it was gaining newfound strength from its new life and healing. The Lord said, “Dive deep, My dear friend, dive deep! Swim strong, My dear friend, swim strong! Leap high, My dear friend, leap high!”

Immediately upon the Lord’s last word, the Blue Whale took off with incredible speed and went into what appeared to be a very deep dive. I could see that the Lord was fascinated with the Blue Whale’s dive, and He was peering into the depths watching what I could not see. I could see His head movement lift, indicating the Blue Whale was about to emerge. Suddenly, the massive Blue Whale broke the surface and it’s long 100 foot plus body was completely out of the water – and I thought I saw a huge grin on its face! I saw the Blue Whale “leap for joy!” I heard the Lord laugh – the echo of his laugh rang across the waters, and still rings in me today.

I asked the Lord about this vision.

For My people who sincerely seek Me, you can rest assured that I will find you! It is I who hunt you! Though you may feel at times you are an “ocean away” from Me, I know everything about you. I am bringing about true revival – even a resurrection of new life in My church, and especially in the prophetic life of My people. My people shall once again have life and strength to dive deep for the deep things of God. Deep has indeed been calling out unto deep – and I Am responding to the deep cry of My people.

You must trust that I am putting to death the flesh in order that you may truly have life and strength. In the flesh, you may feel you have strength because of the comfort of familiarity. But it is only in total reliance upon Me and My supernatural ways in the Spirit that you will have great strength to be a mighty spiritual army to pull down the strongholds of the enemy. You must stop trying to please Me in the flesh – for that only puts more distance between us and weakens your true power. I have created you to commune with Me in the Spirit and called you to be victorious!

Oh, My people – I have so much joy to give you! I long for you to feel My joy coursing through the veins of your spirits! With this coming move of My Spirit, My people will have true and boundless joy! I am applying the salve on your wounds that have stolen your joy. I am breathing into you new breath from heaven. My people will see joy in ways that are beyond common human experience in My people in this coming outpouring of My Spirit upon the Body. You are made for the heavenlies and you are being called to live in that realm and enjoy heaven’s rich blessings!

3 Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; 4 say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” 5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

6 Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. 8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it. 9 No lion will be there, nor will any ferocious beast get up on it; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, 10 and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, or indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:5-11)

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
