LIKE THE TITANIC
My people do not care in which direction the ship is sailing (the Church), just so long as it appears to be making progress. They heat the fires and stoke the boilers, but do they know the future in which they are heading? For my people are as blind fools who can only see the work of their hands immediately ahead of them but do not care for the greater issues of the church. Therefore when the ship is greatly shaken they shall blame each other and question the faithfulness of the ship’s master, their Lord, and have yet to see their own blame for the destruction that is coming upon all who are so blind.Martin Cooke
