Watchmen in the west

Statement of faith


We believe -

1. We believe in one true God who is manifested in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. God is the creator of all things.

3. God is eternal.

4. God came to earth in the person of his Son the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born of a Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on a cross as an atoning sacrifice for all mankind.

5. Jesus was raised from the dead and is now in Heaven in a resurrection body.

6. Jesus will return again to raise all people from the dead and to bring eternal judgement.

7. We all need to be spiritually born again to escape eternal damnation.

8. If we make Jesus Lord of our lives we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

9. We cannot be saved by religion or good works but only by God’s free gift of grace.

10. We have an enemy called Lucifer or the Devil who can afflict us for a season but who will be cast eternally into the lake of fire.

11. We believe that the bible is the inspired word of God.
